Hammond Legal was founded to bring deep, varied legal experience directly to Central Indiana clients. Lead attorney Emilee Hammond holds a J.D. from Faulkner Law and a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Indiana University East, and is admitted to practice in Indiana state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Prior experience includes six-plus years handling post-conviction relief petitions at the Public Defender of Indiana — resulting in a published appellate opinion and 49 years and 49 days in reduced sentences — appointed representation for more than 200 parents in CHINS proceedings, employment and administrative law litigation before the EEOC and MSPB, and civil defense work at a litigation firm. That range of experience across criminal, civil, appellate, and administrative practice is what Hammond Legal brings to every client matter.
